EmailOur Work for Education for Peace
Pax Christi aims to promote the option of nonviolence as a means of resolving conflict in our homes, communities, nation and between nations. Working with teachers and students is a natural and important way to begin. We aim to provide a range of resources that look at both the skills required for peacemaking and some of the challenging issues of war and violence of our time.
We feel that we are well placed to help schools explore the Christian tradition of peacemaking - in particular from a Catholic perspective - and to offer models of contemporary Christian peacemakers. We also offer reflection and prayer materials on war and peace which can be used to deepen a spirituality of peacemaking and nonviolence within the classroom and in assembly time. We can offer speakers/workshops for schools in certain parts of the country.
